Blogtalk - thanks I'll take a look but it's a whole other way to go. Worth looking into once they get a little bigger but you need at least a PA to run a decent show plus it would be dull as hell if it were just me (or maybe my ego just isn't big enough). I'm actually talking to someone about doing a regular radio show but just preliminary.

EEP - Karm is dead on.

15 or 17 June drops - ouch!

Batesum

Did get into the NOV 15's of CNE about month ago (similar CA energy trust I believe) and found large bid-ask spread but like EEP showed the longer term calls to be very underpriced. Stock was 14.85 at the time and the calls at .60, stock now 16.28 and the calls at 1.65! (I sold 50% at 1.20 about 2.5 weeks ago, so am holding out for 1.90, which I think will happen soon). Bottom line: I might be more of a buyer than a seller of this segment unless there is news you know that will depress or flat line the stock for the next month. Just my 3 cents though

Karmcon,

That guy's name is 100% awesome - Long hung Dong?

It's like something out of an 80's movie before political correctness set in. Flashes of Long Duck Dong but with more sleaze. Perhaps he should reconsider his Arts & Crafts biz into something more in the adult entertainment side.

batesum,

Can see why ur interested Jul 55's overpriced and Jan 60's underpriced.....prob wont get Jan's for .40 though, last was .75 (still 27% underpriced though). To save margin you could look at the Jan 55 at 2.10 which is 35% below theoretical value of 2.80, but the Jan's are REALLY thinly traded (less than 100 in open interest in the + / - bracket of the strike I am looking at trading tells me to look at one of the other 5000+ options out there for a trade. Too hard to sell, have one of those now in SIGM Sep 7.5's....stock has gone from 7.9 to 8.5 last week and the option is up .05 on a weekly trading volume of 210 (and 190 of that was on Friday!!) I read that 100 OI level requirement before considering the trade after I had the SIGM and it has been a good indicator, for me at least. jmho

IYR - someone asked about this late last week. I had a play ready for it, but the market never got ugly.

An agressive short might start scaling in here at 82 -- IYR will face significant resistance (wouldnt expect it to be able to breach it with low volume) around 82 to 83, and with its 200-day MA overhead at 84.

If the thing breaks below 78-ish, then id short it til the cows come home.

Being fundamentally overvalued and in a rising rate environment is the underpinning logic of course.
Rates go up and this thing tanks.

GOOG - I see that its just about dead-on price support -- but if it closes below 500, then the next stops probly 492.

It really needs to climb back on top of 513. Its been loosely consolidating (like it did before it began its move outa the 470s), but failing 513 is a problem that needs to be remedied quickly.

The ole GOOG just aint what she used to be. Its previous consolidation also featured driving up intraday, only to sell off by the close. Im hopin it was stupid for options ex -- and that itll remount 513 and continue higher. It sure doesnt feel like it though.

Heard on the news this morn that apparently theres a schism in the white house over whether to strike Iran militarily.

I realize that this is often how we tell other countries that the military option is still on the table without really tellin em but...

DUnno how its gonna effect the market Monday (hopefully not at all) - I can guess how its gonna effect oil (excuse du jour?)

Nymex Holdings Inc. may be valued at $155 a share or $14.3 billion, 11 percent more than yesterday's closing price, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the talks are confidential. Top Nymex executives have met with their counterparts at the three suitors, the people said. Nymex's board has been informed of the discussions.
