“I would like to know why I did not see the Senator’s name on Senator Sanders’ list of sponsors to the Federal Reserve Sunshine Act auditing the Fed. As I’m sure the Senator is well aware, a large majority of Americans are clamoring for visibility into what the Federal Reserve is doing as steward of their currency and I’m sure the Senator is sensitive to the overwhelming desires of his/her constituency, especially as we enter the new election cycle. As this was surely no more than an oversight the Senator will want to correct, I look forward to checking back and seeing your name properly on the list. Thank you and have a good day.”
Blow it up, peeps. To the ramparts we go.

Work those phones, send those emails. You won’t find out if we can get to 67 if you don’t put in the effort.

Sens. Schumer and Gillibrand:
As a New York resident, I assure you that I and those that I influence are looking for you to cosponsor this legislation and pass it.

Call the 75 pro-wall street Senators, and tell them you’ll contribute money to their opponents in their next election unless they co-sponsor the bill to audit the Fed.
Contribute money to those in the 25 pro-audit Senators that need re-election funds, like Feingold-D and Vitter-R.

Cross referencing those on the supporting list with Senators up for reelection would be illuminating. What’s THAT correlation (I say high). The safe ones vote against, those in the races vote yes. Net effect: no passage.

Mark my words, Max Bacaus will crush this bill into oblivion.
