CVS Caremark Projects Rise In 2012 Earnings, Lifts Dividend By 30%

CVS Caremark Corp (NYSE: CVS) projected 2012 adjusted earnings to rise in a range of 13% to 17%. It also raised its quarterly dividend by 30%.

CVS Caremark projects 2012 adjusted earnings of $3.15 to $3.25 per share. It expects continuing operations to generate $2.93 to $3.03 per share. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $3.20 per share.

CVS Caremark’s board declared a quarterly dividend of 16.25 cents per share, versus 12.5 cents per share.

CVS Caremark shares gained 2.84% to $37.60 in pre-market trading.
