Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc (NYSE: FCS) reported a drop in its fourth-quarter profit.
Fairchild Semiconductor’s quarterly profit declined to $21.3 million, or $0.17 per share, from $51 million, or $0.28 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company’s adjusted net income came in at $0.15 per share. Its revenue dropped 15% to $339.4 million, versus $397.7 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.17 per share on revenue of $358.8 million.
Fairchild Semiconductor projects Q1 revenue of $340 million to $370 million, versus analysts’ estimates of $383.1 million.
Fairchild Semiconductor shares closed at $14.53 yesterday.
