UPDATE: Kensey Nash Reports Upbeat Q2 Profit

Kensey Nash Corp (NASDAQ: KNSY) reported upbeat quarterly profit.

Kensey Nash’s quarterly net income rose to $4.3 million, or $0.49 per share, from $3.3 million, or $0.38 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding items, Kensey Nash earned $0.51 per share. Its revenue surged 32% to $23 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.46 per share on revenue of $23.35 million.

Kensey Nash expects Q3 earnings of around $0.22 to $0.24 per share, on revenue of $20.2 million to $20.8 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.23 per share, on revenue of $21.2 million.

Kensey Nash shares closed at $23.89 yesterday.
