Sorry JC – Don’t go by what I say to Cap, I just like to annoy him!   On the other hand, as a member of the "job creator" class, I realize how powerful it is to have people like me able to build businesses and create jobs but, unlike my Conservative brethren, I realize that there is a diminishing point of return and both Corporate and Individual wealth transition from "job creators" to "job destroyers" at a certain point – the point at which preserving capital and increasing profit margins becomes more important than growth.  At that point jobs are destroyed and the wages paid to employees are driven down as just another business cost that needs to be trimmed.

This is why we used to have monopoly laws.  This is why we used to have top marginal tax rates.  MSFT had 50,000 employees when Bill Gates was just a Billionaire – now they have 90,000 employees and Gates, Allen and Ballmer are good for about $100Bn.  XOM accounts for over 2% of our GDP with 83,000 workers – if they are job creators, they are not very efficient ones as they employ just 1/3 as many people as GE (who have 1/2 the revenues), who may not pay taxes but at least pay a few salaries!

So that’s my new talking point – let’s turn this "job creator" BS against the Reps by quantifying job creation and branding people and companies as good job creators and bad job creators and THEN we can talk about what’s "fair" and who the real patriots are.
