akademia: I have never even attempted tried trading oil futures — in fact I won't even open a futures account. You are trading against seasoned professionals — and tradebots. It takes speed, dedication and experience to win consistently. Good judgement is the product of experience. Experience is the product of bad judgement — which is expensive. If you want to make money more easily, sell premium. Small positions, solid companies [Phil is extremely clear on his likes and dislikes — Google/Apple good, eg., Tesla bad], well out of the money prices — and let that premium melt away – "Options trading for Dummies." Works for me. Not sexy, but the cash definitely is. Get rich slowly, be happy.
