    $500M and counting for Guardians of the Galaxy

    • Guardians of the Galaxy sailed past the $500M box office mark this week as it continues to play well in global markets.
    • The Marvel (NYSE:DIS) film, which has still yet to open in China, Germany, and Japan, is forecast to hold to the top spot on the domestic box office list for the Labor Day weekend in the U.S.
    • Disney came into the summer with some risk on the table with Guardians, but is coming out with a potential blockbuster franchise.
