Shares of GoPro Inc (NASDAQ: GPRO) were trading up more than 5.7 percent in Friday’s after-hours session, after Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) announced it inked a patent licensing deal with the wearable cameras company. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, MarketWatch reported that the agreement was for “certain file storage and other system technologies.”

Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC President Nick Psyhogeos explained in a statement that the company’s “licensing of personal wearable technologies is seeing strong demand as we partner with companies from all industries to optimize solutions for their customers around the globe.”

Interestingly, a Google search of the item shows the story was out “9 Hours Ago.” Apparently, Microsoft announced the agreement on its page in the morning, but few media outlets and investors picked up on the news until after the market closed.

Ubiquiti Networks Inc (NASDAQ: UBNT) was up more than 9 percent after the market closed. The spike seemed like a continuation of the 6 percent gain seen during the day, driven by an earnings and revenue beat. The high performance networking technology developer posted earnings of $0.58 per share on revenue of $161.87 million, beating the Street’s consensus of $0.51 per share and $155.33 million.

Other stocks rising in Friday’s after-hours included:

  • Beazer Homes USA, Inc. (NYSE: BZH), up about 7 percent
  • Inphi Corporation (NYSE: IPHI), up almost 7 percent
  • Red Hat Inc (NYSE: RHT), up more than 5.6 percent
  • CBRE Group Inc (NYSE: CBG), up 5.2 percent
  • ChannelAdvisor Corp (NYSE: ECOM), up 4.82 percent
  • Century Aluminum Co (NASDAQ: CENX),up 3.91 percent
  • Medivation Inc (NASDAQ: MDVN), up 3.24 percent
