He thinks Trump and May will fail and Donald is attacking Europe and China which might bring the Europeans closer to the Chinese.
Europe disintegrating not any worse than being under dominance of Russia.
Soros thinks Trump does not know how he will act as President but thinks he is a con-man, will be dictatorial and divide people.
George Soros thinks there is mistake in seeking accommodation with China because Asian countries are joining together in a bid to thwart Chinese aggression and co-operate on economics.
Soros thinks that TPP is dead but these Asian countries can combine in ASEP? and it would be regional cooperation which is not dominated by China because the block would be a big counter-weight to China which would be a healthy development. ASEP? should be a partner to Europe and not China.
I will say this in public and have spoken to people privately about this topic.
China will retaliate to any trade war caused by China. Xi Jingping (sp) has much domestic pressure in a fight behind closed doors – a really strong fight – the future of China is….
Whether China becomes a more open or closed society will be determined in the next two years. Xi wants a closed society with more in common with Putin’s Russia than with the European Union. I hope they will appreciate open society and Chinese? people appreciate this coming from a dictatorial background and are working for that open society.
Soros Sees New World Order Coming, War With China –
China has not succeeded in changing its growth model and probably will not do it in the next two years since Xi wants to maintain “unsustainable rate of growth” he is doing this by overproducing goods – he can do that for next two years. The silk road and the building of roads – the alternative is for arms. Either China becomes more repressive at home and aggressive abroad or success at home in economics will make it more peaceful.
