Scott likes the following stocks for potential long positions:
#1 JMP $7.17 close 6/3/10
Four insiders added open market purchases to their holdings since Feb. 2010 at prices between $7-$8/share. One director doubled his holding in the last 12 months buying between $6.81-$10/share. Forward P/E is less than 10. Price to book of 1.2. JMP provides a good value stock at current price with insider’s purchasing shares consistently at these levels.
#2 DXCM $10.38 close 6/3/10
Five insider’s, both officers and directors, added significant amounts of shares relative their current holdings between $9-$10/share. Institutional purchases also increased by 3+ million shares in the recent quarter compared the prior quarter. DXCM has seven analysts following the stock ……….five have upgraded earnings forecast in the last 3 days for the coming quarter. Good combination of value, institutional ownership increase, insider buying and analyst revisions upward in the last 30-90 days.
#3 GMXR $7.43 close 6/3/10
Five officer and director purchases in May 2010 from $6.64-$7.33/share. Fourteen analysts follow the stock and three have upward revisions in the last 30 days, including one in the last seven days for the June Quarter. Six analysts have upward revisions to the Dec quarter. Good combination of recent buying with officers and directors making open market purchases and analysts upgrading earnings forecasts in the last 30 days for the coming and future quarters.
All three companies are small or micro caps, and JMP and DXCM are both rated STRONG BUYs by Sabrient Systems. GMXR is a BUY.
