Westar Energy Inc (NYSE: WR) lifted its 2011 earnings forecast.
Westar Energy now projects earnings of $1.88 to $2.03 per share, and an adjusted profit of $1.75 to $1.90 per share. However, analysts were expecting adjusted profit of $1.71 per share.
WR shares gained 0.65% to close at $26.24 on Friday.
