Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE: AMD) shares are off the highs of the session, after earlier rumors of a major shareholder pushing for a sale of the company.
Benzinga contacted the semiconductor company, and a AMD spokesperson said they had “no comment” regarding the potential for a strategic sale or the rumors today.
At last check, shares were trading at $4.99, a gain of 13 cents. Earlier, shares had reached $5.07 as the rumor came out.
