SemiLEDS Corporation

Shares of SemiLEDS Corporation (NASDAQ: LEDS), the Taiwan-based manufacturer of LED chips and components, rose almost 19% Wednesday on 5 times the average daily volume.

SemiLEDS was mentioned positively in an article appearing on The Street web site.

SemiLEDS shares traded Wednesday in a range of $3.33 to $4.00 and closed at $3.83.

Zogenix

Shares of Zogenix (NASDAQ: ZGNX), the San Diego, CA pharmaceutical company, rose almost 10% Wednesday on 8 times the average daily volume.

An article appearing on the Daily Mail web site, mentioned the company is releasing a stronger, “safer” Vicodin painkiller substitute, Zohydro. The release of Zohydro is scheduled for early 2013.

Zogenix shares traded Wednesday in a range of $1.95 to $2.40, closing at $2.10.

PokerTek

Shares of PokerTek (NASDAQ: PTEK), the Matthews, NC developer and manufacturer of electronic table games and software, rose almost 50% Wednesday on 26 times the average daily volume.

A report from the Justice Department, made public last Friday, indicated that states would be able to decide on allowing many forms of Internet gambling, previously considered illegal.

PokerTek shares traded Wednesday in a range of $0.84 to $1.44, closing at $1.25.
