Brambles Ltd (OTC: BMBLY) posted a 9% rise in its first half profit.
Brambles’ profit for the period climbed to US$239.5 million. Its revenue from continuing operations, excluding its Recall unit, climbed 34% to US$2.37 billion. Its earnings before interest and tax surged 23% to US$385.1 million.
The company now expects underlying profit between US$1.05 billion and US$1.08 billion at June 30, 2011 foreign exchange rates.
Brambles shares closed at $15.60 yesterday.
