O2Micro® International Limited (Nasdaq: OIIM) was issued 19 claims under United States patent number 8,044,815 for its Battery Status Indication Methodology.
This invention provides battery status using LEDs in a cost effective manner. Battery status, which is battery charging status or battery state-of-charge, alerts the end user to take action before the battery depletes and the system shuts down.
