Panera Bread in focus after investor day presentation

• Shares of Panera Bread (PNRA -7.2%) trade weak after the company’s investor day presentation and fresh guidance takes some of the luster off the growth story.
• A move by Wunderlich to the sidelines on Panera is also tipping sentiment.
• What to watch: Restaurant sector analysts note that although the “strategic initiatives” that Panera referenced will cut into margins – it’s possible the investments could pay off in the long term. Panera is well-positioned to take advantage of the consumer shift toward organic and all-natural food items.
