The Australian cricket team has been attacked in India after beating the Indian team in a Twenty20 match. The attack occurred within hours of the international win in Hyderabad. The news about the Australian cricket team attacked spread quickly after Australian batsman Aaron Finch tweeted a photo of the broken bus window.

Someone threw a rock at the Australian team’s bus while they were riding from the Barspara Stadium to the hotel they were staying at in Guwahati. Thankfully, none of the cricketers were seriously injured in the attack.
The news about the Australian cricket team attacked immediately sparked concerns about security in and around Barspara Stadium because it was the first international match held there. According to Indian media outlets, there has never been anything like this attack that threatened either team’s security.
Despite the lack of similar incidents, there have been some hard feelings on both sides between Australia and India. Earlier this year in the Test series, players from both sides clashed in various incidents. One of the more prominent clashes was when Indian captain Virat Kohli came close to accusing Aussie Steve Smith of cheating when he looked toward the dressing room before a review of a dismissal that was ruled against him.
The Australian cricket team attacked the Indian team in the match just before the incident involving the rock that was thrown against their bus. Fast bowler Jason Behrendorff led the team to a victory that had Australia knock down India by eight wickets. It was his second Twenty20 international, and he had four wickets in the match. Australia’s win now ties it with India in the three-match series between the two nations.
The loss is a rare one for India in cricket, and it ended the team’s eight-match winning streak in Twenty20s versus Australia.
