2 Killed At Central Michigan University; “Person Of Interest” Named

Update: The two students who were shot on the fourth floor of a Central Michigan University dorm have been killed, according to CBS.

The shooter is still on the loose. Police haven’t released much information, other than the name and description of a “person of interest,” according to CBS.

CMU police confirm two individuals were fatally shot at Campbell Hall on campus this morning. The deceased are not students and police believe the situation started from a domestic situation. There are no additional injuries; suspect is still at large: https://t.co/AxvPn3N0s0

Police identified James Eric Davis Jr. as a person of interest: He’s black, around 19 years old and 10 inches and 135 lbs.

The person of interest is James Eric Davis, Jr. He is a black male, approximately 19 years of age, 5’10″ & 135 lbs. He was last see wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hoodie. Neither of the two victims were students at the school. It’s unclear whether Davis attends the school. There were no other injuries reported.

Police said two people were shot Friday morning at a dormitory at Central Michigan University. The shooter is reportedly still at large. Michigan State Police confirmed that two people have been shot, but their condition is unknown, meanwhile the campus remains on lockdown according to WCVB, while staff and students have been advised to take shelter.

There has been a report of shots fired at Campbell Hall on campus. Suspect is still at large, police advise all to take shelter. If you see something suspicious, call 911.

The suspect is a black male and considered armed and dangerous, according to the City of Mt. Pleasant Twitter account.

This was confirmed by a local TV station, according to which the shooter is a 19-year-old black male.

UPDATE 10:23 a.m.: The suspect is a 19-year-old black male who is approx. 5 foot 9 inches tall. He is wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hoodie. He may have taken off the blue hoodie. He is considered armed & dangerous. If you see the suspect, do not approach him. Call 911.

According to twitter, the local police are now checking every car on the campus in their search for the shooter.
