Netflix is sliding into late session after Comcast’s NBCUniversal is “considering giving away the ad-supported version of its streaming service Peacock for free to everyone,” sources told CNBC.
The battle between online streaming services, which include companies like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Playstation Vue, seems to be heating up as subscriber growth for many of these platforms are peaking.
Peacock would be the first free streaming video service from a major media provider.
Comcast originally planned Peacock free only to Comcast customers, but the new plan would give it away to anyone.
