Occupation Since 1949

On December 22, 1949, the People’s Republic of China overthrew the Independent East Turkistan Republic, which led to the ongoing campaign of colonization, genocide, and occupation that continues to this day.

Congressman Scott Perry has introduced a bill to recognize Tibet as an Independent Country Occupied by China, and the US Government has formally met with the Tibetan Government in Exile.

We urge Congress and the US Government to do the same for East Turkistan.
