Merge Healthcare Inc. (NASDAQ: MRGE) shares climbed 9.98 percent to $5.40 in pre-market trading following the announcement of a partnership with Toshiba on cardiology and hemodynamic solutions.

Sarepta Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: SRPT) shares rose 4.13 percent to $32.55 in pre-market trading after the company reported that it has completed the NDA submission to the FDA for eteplirsen.

Pernix Therapeutics Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: PTX) gained 2.30 percent to $5.79 in pre-market trading. Brean Capital initiated coverage on Pernix Therapeutics with a Buy rating and a $17.00 price target.

SYSCO Corporation (NYSE: SYY) shares climbed 1.62 percent to $38.99 in pre-market trading after the company reported that it has terminated a merger agreement with US Foods. Sysco announced its plans to buy back up to $3 billion of stock.

Randgold Resources Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ: GOLD) shares rose 0.44 percent to $69.21 in pre-market trading after dropping 1.19 percent on Friday.
