Question:

What is the Valero Rule?

Answer:

It’s a system for trading oil stocks. Check out the Strategy section for a full explanation (about halfway down the page).

Question:

What is the service level/features difference between a regular subscription and the Professional Fund Manger subscription?

Answer:

There’s no difference in features. Members who are financial professionals or are in any way affiliated with the finance industry are expected to notify us of their status, and to subscribe at the Professional rate, per our terms & conditions.

Question:

I see DD in many places. What does DD mean?

Answer:

It means to "double down" on your current position in order to take advantage of a short-term swing in the price.

Question:

Will you evaluate my virtual portfolio? Want to get rid of losers but I need a second opinion.

Answer:

Sorry, we are not registered as financial advisors, and so cannot provide specific or personalized information. All of the analysis and trades discussed on this site are for educational and informational purposes only, and shouldn’t be used without first consulting your professional financial advisor.

I do not have excel or any other spreadsheet.

Answer:

If you need some good, free office software, try Open Office: http://www.openoffice.org/

Question:

Do you have RSS?

Answer:

We provide RSS feeds on the free site, but unfortunately RSS doesn’t work behind security barriers.

Question:

When I bring up your virtual portfolio I can not see the all of the sheet on one page and have trouble printing it out. Any ideas?

Answer:

To print, sort, or otherwise analyze our trades, just scroll to the bottom of the Virtual Portfolio page and download the archived files. Note: requires Excel – contact us if you need a different format.

Question:

Is the virtual portfolio updated daily?

Answer:

Until we have a large enough readership to hire someone to monitor trades closely, we plan to update the virtual portfolio page every few days or so
