In the world of things you can buy on the public markets, SDRL is very attractive at $9.67 with oil stabilizing.

They do have some serious issues and they may go BK, so a bit risky for selling puts BUT let's assume oil heads higher in the next 20 months and SDRL recovers 1/2 it's losses to $25.  The 2017 $15/25 bull call spread is just $1.35 and, in the LTP, we can invest $6,750 in 50 of them and put a stop in at $3,500 so we risk just $3,250 (unless they go BK suddenly, then all $6,750) against the possibility of a $50,000 return and a profit of $43,250 (640%).  A few speculative plays like that are now appropriate in the LTP since we have a ton of cash and would hate to completely miss out on a huge rally.
