The Next Crash is Coming – Person with Web Access

The Next Crash is Coming – Person with Web Access

It’s a bit early but I already have my quote of the day. It comes from MarketWatch columnist Paul B. Farrell, whom I now regard as a genius.

We’ve already predicted a 100% risk of a 50% crash in 2016, if Hillary Clinton wins the presidency. But if Mitch McConnell is re-elected and the GOP wins back the Senate, beware: The next bear market will hit earlier, in 2015.

100% risk of a 50% crash. Got it.

Check out the rest of this crucial piece here:

Also, don’t miss Paul’s investing book:

Think Astrology & Grow Rich (Amazon)

Note from Ilene:

Hopefully Paul B. Farrell is not basing his predictions on the stars anymore. Think Astrology & Grow Rich (Amazon) was published in 1994. There's an important lesson here. Check out your financial market gurus thoroughly. All  most many market gurus entertain nutty, bizarre, ridiculous and scientifically unproven ideas, even those with a list of stellar crudentials.

The natural human instinct is to find a guru whose nutty, bizarre, ridiculous and scientifically unproven ideas match your own. Try not to do that. It's easier to evaluate what you don't believe in. wink

Marketwatch has this to say about Paul:

Paul B. Farrell

Paul Farrell writes the column on behavioral economics. He's the author of nine books on personal finance, economics and psychology, including "The Millionaire Code," "The Winning Portfolio," "The Lazy Person's Guide to Investing." Farrell was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley; executive vice president of the Financial News Network; executive vice president of Mercury Entertainment Corp; and associate editor of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner.
