Another volatile week on the stock market yields interesting ETF winners.
Top gainers among major sectors and ETFs for the week were:
Health Care (NYSEARCA:XLV) +2.65%
Consumer Staples (NYSEARCA:XLP) +1.6%
Consumer Discretionary (NYSEARCA:XLY) +1.4%
Energy (NYSE:XLE) +1.4%
The intense volatility led investors to the more “defensive” sectors while “riskier” sectors logged only small gains. Financial sector ETFs (NYSEARCA:XLF) registered a small loss of -0.4% for the week.
