Splunk Inc (NASDAQ: SPLK) posted a wider fiscal first-quarter loss.
Splunk expects full-year revenue of $174 million to $177 million, versus analysts’ estimates of $172 million.
For the fiscal second quarter, Splunk expects revenue between $38 million and $40 million, versus analysts’ estimates of $38 million.
Splunk posted a quarterly loss of $20.5 million, or $0.71 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $2.2 million, or $0.12 per share. Excluding some items, Splunk lost $0.04 per share. Its first-quarter revenue surged 80% to $37.2 million. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.06 per share on revenue of $34 million.
Splunk’s operating expenses surged 92%.
Splunk shares closed at $32.56 yesterday.
