Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) today announced that Yamhill County, Ore., has successfully piloted Tyler’s Odyssey® court case management solution. The State of Oregon selected Odyssey in 2011 for statewide implementation supporting state trial courts in each of Oregon’s 36 counties.

Odyssey was selected to help meet the Oregon Judicial Department’s eCourt goal of using technology to streamline court processes, reduce costs from handling and storing paper files, provide around-the-clock access to court information, and provide better information for judicial decision-making. Yamhill County, centrally located between the cities of Portland and Salem, was up and running on Odyssey within one year.

“This was an incredible team effort between local court staff, the Department’s training and IT staff and Tyler Technologies’ staff to be live in one year, and it validates our team approach to implementation,” said Scott Smith, Oregon eCourt Program Director. “We chose Tyler because we had a high degree of confidence in the company and its solutions, and we are pleased with the results from our first pilot court. Having Tyler staff on the ground during implementation and go-live was a critical element in identifying issues and quickly correcting them. We are confident that this process will result in continued success as we roll out Odyssey to more counties.”
