Barofsky Likens CNBC to WWE

Neil Barofsky In The Ring

Former Federal prosecutor, SIGTARP, best selling author and outspoken establishment critic Neil Barofsky was a guest on CNBS this morning. Apparently he was tag-teamed by the CNBS goons, who were not interested in allowing Barofsky to answer questions. Barofsky likened CNBS to the WWE. His Twitter stream in reaction to the event was enlightening.

7:27 AM Barofsky: Definitely got Krugmanned.

I think this means “shit on.” Apparently this is what CNBS did to Krugman when he went into the ring with them.  Being familiar with Professor Ass Burger, the difference is that it’s hard not to dump on him. Barofsky, on the other hand, is a heroic figure in my view.

7:56 AM Becky Quick: He says intv was unfair. You decide.

8:01 AM Barofsky: When did I say unfair?

8:13 AM Becky Quick: Sorry. Constrained by tweet limit. You did say unprof not unfair.

8:16 AM Barofsky: I did not think CNBC was “unfair.” That would be like going to a WWE match and complaining that the matches are fixed. It’s what they do.

9:04 AM Barofsky: Just watched the clip. I should not have suggested that @beckyquickcnbc was unprofessional. Liesman, however, wouldn’t let me answer ?s

Mr. Barofsky, why do you think his name is Liesman?

I must make a confession. I have not watched CNBS in more than 9 years. I never did enjoy the circus. Too much elephant shit. As usual, Mr. Barofsky has told it like it is. CNBS is rigged– bread and circuses, gladiators thrown to the lions to entertain and anesthetize the masses.

Here’s a video of the match.
