The following are the M&A deals, rumors and chatter circulating on Wall Street for Monday September 17, 2012:

BGI-Shenzhen to Acquire Complete Genomics for $3.15/Share in Cash

The Deal:
Complete Genomics (NASDAQ: GNOM) and BGI-Shenzhen announced Monday that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement. Under the agreement, a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of BGI will launch a tender offer to purchase all outstanding shares of common stock of Complete Genomics for $3.15 per share in cash. That represents approximately a 54% premium to the $2.04 closing price per share of Complete Genomics common stock on June 4, 2012.

Complete Genomics closed at $3.02 Monday, a gain of 13.11% on 5 times average volume.

Danaher Corporation to Acquire IRIS International for $19.50/Share

The Deal:
Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR) announced Monday that it has entered into a definitive merger agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of common stock of IRIS International (NASDAQ: IRIS) at a purchase price of $19.50 per share or $338 million.

The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2012.

IRIS International closed at $19.54 Monday, a gain of 45.60% on 105 times average volume.
