Axel Springer Denies Interest in Monster Worldwide

The Rumor:
German publisher Axel Springer has denied interest in acquiring Monster Worldwide (NYSE: MWW), according to Deal Reporter. The company was rumored last week to be a potential bidder for Monster, according to a report from FT Alphaville.

Monster Worldwide has been reported to be in the closing stages of taking bids from potential buyers.

Monster Worldwide closed at $8.00 Thursday, a loss of 2.20% on average volume.

Hearing Chatter of China Bid for Potash Stake

The Rumor:
Potash (NYSE: POT) was the subject of chatter on Thursday. A group from China is rumored to be paying as much as $53.50 per share for a partial stake in the company.

A Potash spokesperson declined comment on the chatter.

Potash closed at $44.08 Thursday, a gain of 1.22% on twice average volume.

Google, Amazon Could Have Interest in Acquiring Pandora

The Report:
Internet radio company Pandora Media (NYSE: P) could attract takeover interest from Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) and Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), according to a report from Bloomberg. A takeover would be more likely if Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) were to start a competing service to Pandora.

Spokespersons for the parties declined comment on the report.

Pandora Media closed at $10.58 Thursday on average volume.
