Shares of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (NYSE: KKD) traded higher after-hours on Monday, up more than 11 percent, after the company reported earnings for the third quarter.
Krispy Kreme reported a third quarter EPS figure of $0.12, more than the $0.08 that was expected. Revenue also beat, coming in at $107.1 million — slightly more than a $105 million estimate.
In addition to the earnings beat, the doughnut company also boosted its guidance. Krispy Kreme guided fiscal year 2013 EPS $0.44-0.47, more than the $0.43 estimate, and more than the $0.36-0.42 figure the company had previously seen.
Third quarter same-store sales came in up 6.8 percent.
