One day in the future a wise man will look upon the devastation and discover in the rubble three other wise men who tried to warn us about our impending demise.
He will find in those ruins, these three books:
"Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television", Jerry Mander
"The Culture of Narcissism in an Age of Diminishing Expectations", Christopher Lasch
"Amusing Ourselves to Death", Neil Postman.
The infantilization of the people, their permanently delayed journey to maturity rooted in the adolescence of our leadership have all combined to hollow out and drag away the steel in our character.
There are few who realize that real growth demands discomfort, pain, injury, and sometimes death. If you are too comfortable you have your signal that your demise has begun.
