Great points, have even had this exact conversation before. In fact, did you know due to the Tuna fishing laws that the folks living in paradise in Vanuatu, are now using innovations that help them with trapping, fish farming etc. They need very little innovation, and this Tuna low-tech solution is "REAL" innovation, unlike the obvious non-sense innovation you pointed out. It is truly amazing when you think about it. Here we are dumping millions of VC money into the next newest SmartPhone Ap companies (and yes, I recognize the SmartPhone market is on fire currently and all the mobile computing going on) when there are already some 35,000 possible smart phone ap downloads and 1000s of new services for staying connected with quasi-friends and non-family?
