Jonathan Parker – why not sell the sept 30’s for .4? A lot of your gains with selling against your long positions is due to the time value declining in the last 2 weeks.. If you do the sept’s now, and the oct’s in oct, then you’ll have 2 cycles of premium working in your favor instead of 1..
If you’re only playing with a few contracts ( less than 10.. ) the commissions will hit you a bit more, but not that much.. -Peter
