It should, but its also the stock market. Does what is supposed to happen ever happen? Once the acquistion is complete, it depends on the buyout. You might get shares of LUV or just cash from a sale of AAI. It could take quite some time, though, for this to complete, and your upside is limited to 5-6%. In the months it could take, you could make a lot more doing something else.
