U.S. trade rep to try to break trade stalemate with Japan
Yesterday, 02:44 AM ET
U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman is due to travel to Japan tomorrow to try to persuade the country to increase access for U.S. farm groups and car companies.
Froman believes that Japan lowering its trade barriers would open the way for a deal on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a 12-nation trade pact.
Froman’s trip comes ahead of a visit by President Obama later this month.
