Scott-I'm pretty sure this was already in effect. A few years ago I remember my wife's grandmother had an old account with some money that no one knew about and after her passing when the government found out they sent a letter to my mother in law with a demand to turn the account over to the government. She had been in a nursing home and all of her money had been spent on her care before Medicaid kicked in.
