Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS) reported downbeat results for its fiscal first quarter and lowered its FY16 outlook. The company announced the retirement of its CFO Chris Perkins. Progress Software shares tumbled 11.10 percent to $22.75 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts expect Lindsay Corporation (NYSE: LNN) to report its quarterly earnings at $0.56 per share on revenue of $123.84 million. Lindsay shares rose 0.26 percent to close at $78.57 yesterday.
Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: MU) reported a narrower-than-expected loss for its second quarter. However, the company reported downbeat quarterly sales and issued a weak earnings forecast for the current quarter. Micron shares gained 0.95 percent to $10.58 in the after-hours trading session.
Medivation Inc (NASDAQ: MDVN) shares surged 13 percent in Wednesday’s after-hours session amid word of a new report from Bloomberg, saying the company is working with bankers to defend itself against preliminary interest of a takeover. Following the initial after-hours story on Wednesday, Reuters separately reported the company is working with JPMorgan to handle interest from other companies, but said Medivation has no interest in selling itself. Medivation shares climbed 13 percent to $42.25 in the after-hours trading session.
