Amazon, Facebook, Blackstone Lead Morgan Stanley’s ’30 Picks For 2019′ List

Morgan Stanley has released its updated list of the 30 best stocks to buy now and hold for at least three years. According to the Morgan Stanley research team, there are a number of U.S. market uncertainties ahead in the next three years, including U.S. economic growth, international weakness, oil prices and interest rates.

“We believe these uncertainties and the market dislocations they’ve helped drive present an opportunity—so we asked each of our US analysts to identify the highest-quality companies in their sector, the ones likely to strengthen their sustainable competitive advantage,” the report read.

Among the 30 picks, Morgan Stanley sees the most 18-month upside to Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN), L Brands Inc (NYSE: LB), Blackstone Group LP (NYSE: BX), Facebook Inc (NASDAQ: FB) and Servicemaster Global Holdings Inc (NYSE: SERV).

Analyst Brian Nowak sees sustainable improved margins and profitability for Amazon’s core e-commerce business in the next three years.

Analyst Kimberly Greenberger believes L Brands will continue to benefit from two of the top retail brands in the business: Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works.

Analyst Michael Cyprys believes Blackstone is well-positioned to maintain its best-in-class alternative assets investment business and continue to deliver secular growth for investors.
