Nearly nine out of 10 hotels are experiencing persistent staffing shortages, according to a recent survey by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA).
Still, that’s an improvement from five months ago. The 87% of U.S. hotels reporting that they have staffing shortages is a notable drop from 97% in May.
The AHLA survey identifies housekeeping as the most critical staffing need, with 43% of hotels ranking it as their biggest challenge, down from 58% in May.
