Trump fiercely blamed after major company reportedly raises over 1,000 prices

The Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon has raised the prices of more than 1,200 products over the last five months.

Since President Donald Trump first announced his sweeping tariffs, Amazon has quietly raised the prices of more than 1,200 low-cost goods — including essentials — since January, according to an analysis from The Wall Street Journal.

The reported hike includes the prices of deodorant, laundry detergent, soup and pet care items, the Journal found in its probe of nearly 2,5000 items, which was released late Sunday. The average price of inexpensive goods had grown by 5% over the course of the five months, from Jan. 20 to July 1, with increases such as Pet-Armor ear rinse by 136%, a stacking tray by 115% and Zarbee’s cough syrup by 77%
