Conservative organizer Charlie Kirk killed in Utah campus shooting
Kirk, 31, was an influential grassroots organizer mobilizing young voters to support Republicans.
Charlie Kirk, an influential figure in conservative politics known for mobilizing young voters and who was close to President Donald Trump, died Wednesday after being shot at an event in Orem, Utah, according to Trump.
He was 31 years old.
“No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us.”
