Harbinger Group (NYSE: HRG) announced that it acquired in open market purchases on the New York Stock Exchange on August 12, 2011, an aggregate of 60,000 common shares of North American Energy Partners (NYSE: NOA), 50,000 at a price of $5.10 per Share and 10,000 at a price of $5.11. These 60,000 Shares represented approximately 0.17% of the outstanding Shares. Together with the Shares previously acquired by the Company, the Company holds an aggregate of 4,428,721 Shares, representing approximately 12.22% of the outstanding Shares. All Shares owned by the Company are held in the name of HGI Funding, a Delaware limited liability company and a direct wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.
