Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) apparently has no plans to put out a Surface Mini tablet, according to an interview conducted by Wired with Vice President and CFO of Microsoft’s Windows Group, Tami Reller.
Reller said Microsoft had no plans to compete in the 7-inch tablet space with Windows 8. The company decided not to go up against Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL), Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) and Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), but instead will concentrate on the 1,000 devices currently ready to ship with Windows 8. All the devices are 10.1 inches and above, according to Reller.
