I’m adding an additional 24 shares of Caterpillar (CAT) to our Virtual Value Portfolio. It's trading at $81.23 per share today. The cost is $1949.52, which will come out of our cash reserves. This is our second purchase, and brings the weighing of CAT to approximately 5% of our opening portfolio value of $100,000.

The additional CAT will qualify us for the next  52-cent dividend payment on a full 60 share position. CAT goes ex-dividend tomorrow.  The dividend will be paid on May 20, 2013.
