"Will our leaders wake up and start pursuing a more logical approach to China? Don’t count on it." You are correct. We are too far down the road to reverse course now, considering that China would likely retaliate by (1) selling enough of the US debt they hold to drive interest rates up to the point we couldn’t afford the interest on the huge national debt we’ve created, (2) stop purchasing from the US causing job losses here to offset jobs gained and (3) nationalize all US investment in China. Considering the influence of multi-nationals and a lack of political will in Washington this will never happen.
