New Behavioral Finance Resource Page Added

By Rupert Hargreaves. Originally published at ValueWalk.

Here at ValueWalk we’re always trying to improve the resources we have available for investors to access. As part of this continual quest for information, over the past few months we have been updating and adding to our ‘Timeless Reading‘ resource pages. All of these links can be found on the menu bar above.

Our timeless reading archives are a collection of what we consider to be some of the most informative, and timeless value investing resources around. The resources cover nearly 100 years of value investing and are almost unparalleled in size.

However, thousands of pages of resources available, it’s difficult to know where to start. So, to help, we’ve put together a ‘Value Investors Must Read List’ of resources. The list can be found here.

We’ve also picked out the best value-orientated studies and research papers. This list can be found here. And we are currently in the process of writing a ten-part series, exploring and commenting on ten specific resources, which every investor should read. Parts one through three of the series can be found below.

  1. Timeless Reading — Part I — Warren Buffett On Gold
  2. Timeless Reading — Part Two: What Has Worked In Investing
  3. Timeless Reading — Part Three: Behavioral Investing

In the past few days, we’ve added a new behavioral finance page to our resource archives. Behavioral finance is the study of the influence of psychology on the behavior of financial practitioners and the subsequent effect on markets. Behavioral finance is of interest to value investors because it helps explain why and how markets might be inefficient. Also, the study of behavioral finance helps investors understand how the mind can help or hinder investment success.

The behavioral finance resource page draws together some of the most influential behavioral finance studies on the web, along with lecturers and PDF’s.

And if that’s not enough, over the past week ValueWalk has added two other new sections to its timeless reading archive. The first is a list of all Warren’s Buffett’s shareholder letters. The second, a collection of our series’ on famous investors – certainly worth a read if you have the time.
