Perspectives on the idea that we were once again reminded that the things we worry about tend not to be the events that cause the market to go down. Most of the concerns investors have tend to be priced in to the market. Severe down markets come from unforeseen events.
Market Timing Doesn’t Work
Even if someone was able to predict the pandemic, their response probably would have been incorrect. Who would have thought that with a pandemic and the economy closed for months that the S&P 500 would be up over 10%. Hopefully, investors have learned that market timing doesn’t work once and for all.
