The trade war between Washington and Ottawa is once again escalating. On Saturday, the US implemented 50% tariffs on certain Canadian goods, just hours after Donald Trump claimed he had a good relationship with his Canadian counterpart and that he thought a deal could be reached. The tariffs were initially set to go into effect on Wednesday but the US president gave negotiators three days to reach an agreement.
